Big 12 Baseball Championship presented by Allstate

Surprise Stadium is proud to serve as the host site for the Big 12 Baseball Tournament in 2026 and 2027, welcoming one of college baseball’s premier postseason events to Surprise, Arizona. Home to MLB Spring Training and the Cactus League’s Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers for more than 20 years, Surprise Stadium provides a championship-caliber setting for fans and student-athletes alike.

The 2026 Big 12 Baseball Tournament presented by Allstate returns May 19–23, bringing together 12 of the Conference’s top programs for a five-day, single-elimination battle for the Big 12 title. Known nationally for its elite level of competition, the Big 12 has produced consistent NCAA Tournament success, including multiple College World Series appearances over the past decade.

The Tournament is hosted in partnership with the City of Surprise and REV Entertainment.

Extended Spring Training

Extended spring training is a structured program that is designed for minor league baseball players who are not yet ready to participate in the regular season. It takes place after the conclusion of the regular spring training and is held at the major league parent team's spring training facility. Extended spring training involves workouts, rehabilitation sessions, simulated games, and exhibition games. It is meant to help players who are deemed unprepared for a full-season campaign due to inexperience or injury to improve their skills and gain experience before being assigned to full-season Class A, AA, or AAA minor league affiliate clubs.

Game, scrimmage, and practice schedules are subject to change at the discretion of the player development staffs of the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals and are not maintained by Surprise Stadium.
